How do you go to work having to have to face a donkey for the rest of the day? This was no ordinary donkey, okay?? This was a.. MANGKOK! A very close acquittance of mine had to endure working with a 'poison' every single day, a poison who polluted the air.
There are bad colleagues, good colleagues. Everywhere we work. If you're lucky, you'll find a best friend among them. I would say we're also considered lucky if we're fated to befriend a mangkok, in our lifetime. They teach you and remind you that there is such a character that lives amongst us. His/Her motto was, -Lie To Live-.
Within a week of joining the organizing, M (let us address Mangkok as M..) has already accused the GM taking under table money. Whoaaa!! Then, telling a story to colleague A that colleague B was cursing *&!@^%&)+#@ behind A's back. As if M knew more what was happening behind everyone's back. M's hobby was eavesdropping, and she couldn't hide this behavior. Everyone noticed.
Desperate to engage a 'best friend', M told C that a Manager had confided to her (M) that C had a big ugly mouth. That was very 'determined' of M. No, the Manager never uttered such words, and to condemn her (the Manager's) own staff in front of another, that's unprofessional. And M did this within a month after joining the company (for trying to lure A into her friends circle proved unsuccessful, M went to her next target, C... Oppsss! M was a 'her', a real shame to all of us women, ish..ish..ish...!). What a slander! From what was gathered, C became M's best friend, to C's other colleagues' dismay.
"She's an adult, we already advised C (that M is the office's poison), but she didn't want to listen. We can only say so much..."
Who tells her colleagues she had five other cars at home?...... Hmmm... Didn't just lie, she brags too. That one of the company's giant properties was actually owned by her family! At least that's what she told a potential leasing client. And told the GM a fellow colleague shared his OverTime 'profits' with another colleague who helped him punches the punch card during weekends?? Then I was told she announced in front of everyone in the office that a Manager's son was a drug pusher (gasp!!), and the Manger should be charged for corruption. This was a Manager she was accusing y'all!! huh! Some nerve this woman! And what the hell for? What was her motive for being such a bitch to her other office mates?
Not enough...! No... She's not done. M would visit another organization and say all the bad & ugly things about the people she shared the air with in her office. Little (yeah.. One Shallow Creature This Mangkok!) did she knew my friend had a friend at that organization. So, in no time at all words came flying back to my friend's office that M was badmouthing and bitching about her colleagues. She was, a true, tell-tale.
Sorry guys, the sexy devil had to come out twice :)
Only god knows what else M did. When she left after only few months working for the company (yup! finally...), things at the office was a mess as she left a lot of bills & things for the others to clear up after her. All the best to the new colleagues. You're right... She found a new place to pollute. Apart from back stabbing, one of her most outstanding personality traits is job-hopping, go figure.
Wow! That was one sick creature. Mental! Totally!! A colleague from hell! My darling friend told me that ever since M joined them, she had less enthusiasm going to work. One time she wondered to herself, "How long am I going to have to see THAT face? When is she going to drop dead already??"
When M left, the office environment went back to how it always was, loving & warm. Now my dear friend can breathe 'clean unpolluted' air :D
