I was lucky enough to receive a book titled Dansa- A Dance Journey, as a gift that was published based on a travel documentary about Sasha Bashir's dance journey at various locations; in Malaysia, Japan, Australia, Thailand and Indonesia.

This 200 page hard cover book is filled with photos and brief details of each of the traditional dance that include the origins, costumes and messages derived from the dances. Reading this book feels just like travelling around the country experiencing new dance movements, skill & knowledge of different cultures as well as continents. I love the huge colourful photos featured in the book and couldn't stop admiring the unique accessories that compliment the beauty and grace of the dances. It's like I could actually imagine the dance movements by just reading Sasha's experiences.

This book in available in major bookstores in Malaysia at RM130 each. For more updates on Sasha's Dansa Journey, click here.
